A Staff meeting for all committee heads will be held on Feb 21 at 7:00pm.  Anyone may attend these meetings.

Arts & Crafts Ministry

We will be crafting with Crystal Oaks Assisted Living Residents on Monday, Feb 20, at 2:00 pm.  Volunteers are welcome and will definitely feel rewarded!  We are scheduled for the 3rd Monday of each month at 2:00 at Crystal Oaks Assisted Living.  Contact Kathy Nausley for more information.

 

How is the church set up?

If you have been wondering how our church is governed, we have a class for you.  Beginning Feb 4 at 9:00 am at Laddie Boys II, we will be studying the book, Winning on Purpose:  How to Organize Congregations to Succeed in their Mission by John Edmund Kaiser.  If you are interested in a leadership role please come.  You do not have to purchase anything at the restaurant.  The class will meet for 4 weeks led by Jack.

Aprons & Recipes 

Women’s Fellowship Dinner – Friday, February 24, 7:00 pm.  This event is open to all women of the church and their guests.  Please wear an apron (old, new, plain, or pretty).  We will be having a recipe and dishtowel exchange.   Click here to download sign up form and for more information. 

Beth Moore Women’s Bible Study – Afternoon Class

The Afternoon Class will begin the study of David:  Seeking a Heart Like His, Wednesday, Jan 18.  The class will meet from 12:30-2:30 for 11 weeks.   An evening class will start on Feb 22 and will meet from 6:30-8:30. In this examination of the “man after God’s own heart,” David will delight and disappoint you.  All women are welcome and previous Biblical knowledge is not necessary.  The books are $15.  No need to pre-register, just come.  It’s not to late, just come on Wednesday.

Pastor’s Bible Study on the book of John.  Class time is 7:00 pm.  All are welcome.  Previous Bible Knowledge is not necessary.

Financial Peace University in January

Financial  Peace University Consists of a 13-week video curriculum by Dave Ramsey that incorporates small-group discussions to encourage accountability and discipleship.  It begins on January 23 at 7:00 pm.  You do not have to pre-register.  Just come that night.  Or, you may indicate your interest on the blue card with your contact information or contact Bill Rouggly.

There is still time To Bring Coats!

Bring your gently used or new coats and put them in the barrel in the Nest.  Heaven’s Closet located in Hillsboro, is in need of coats of any size.  Clean out those closets!

Campbell’s Soup Labels Sent to Hephzibah

A total of 215 points from the “Campbell’s Labels for Education” was sent to Hephzibah Ministries on Monday.  A big thank you to all the label savers at Good News.  Keep ‘em coming!
